Pine Canyon deposit, West Burro Mts, Burro Mountains District, Grant Co., New Mexico, USA
For many years, a mineral dealer in Casa Grange, Arizona, USA collected specimens from this locality and labeled them as coming from Catron Co. New Mexico, USA. Almost all of the specimens from this deposit are red rose colored/pink/red in color and are of octahedral habit. Most were covered with drusy quartz which has been etched away by hydrofluoric acid and put out in the bright sunlight to brighten the color to a nice rosy pink color. Thousands of specimens have been produced by this locality over the years.Mineral List
