Yuma Co., Arizona, USA
Yuma County is in the far Southwestern corner of Arizona. This area is very hot and dominated by a persistent desert.
NOTE: Relatively recently the county was sub-divided into La Paz County and Yuma County, with La Paz County taking over roughly the Northern half of the old Yuma County. This division is sometimes overlooked in citing localities, particularly if older references are employed. The remaining Yuma County contains the significant Castle Dome District in the Castle Dome Mountains.
