Swarms of parallel long and thick veins, genetically related to small Lower Miocene quartz monzonite intrusions within Paleo-Mesozoic Tizapa series schists.
Three mineralization phases, in quartz-sericite-calcite veins :
1) Early HT sphalerite associated with chalcopyrite, pyrite, Ag sulfosalts, native silver, acanthite and Au sulfoarsenides/sulfoantimonides
2) Arsenopyrite + lower-T sphalerite + marcasite
3) Stibnite, cinnabar, pyrite, marcasite, chalcopyrite, covellite
Mineralization is related with fluids of low-salinity regularly decreasing with temperature.
Meteoritic waters circulating within a convective cell related to a thermic anomaly (granite intrusion) are responsible of the remobilization of disseminated sulfides disseminated in metamorphic substratum or concentrated in VMS lenses.
