Slag localities, Waitschach, Hüttenberg, Friesach - Hüttenberg area, Carinthia, Austria

(Schlackenvorkommen, Waitschach (Maria Waitschach), Hüttenberg, Region Friesach - Hüttenberg, Kärnten, Österreich)

Several slag dumps, mostly small, in the vicinity of Maria Waitschach.

NOTE: A detailed article on the interesting mineralogy of these slags is in preparation (Kolitsch et al., 2009). The mineral list (currently almost 60 different species are known, including several unnamed phases) will be updated after the article will have appeared.
