Alianza mine, Lomas Bayas district, Copiapó province, Atacama Region, Chile

(Mina Alianza)

An old Ag mine, worked since 1860 and active around 1910 approx.
The mine was a good source of silver compounds in the Copiapó area.

Silver-bearing minerals were found in tuffs, breccias and porphyric rocks.
