A series of shallow pits, opencasts and short adits to the east of a small limestone quarry of the same name.
The pattern of workings suggests two sinuous veins with associated replacement deposits in the Hardrow Scar Limestone, which has become fluoritized in places.
Abundant fluorite can be found on the dumps although when crystalline, the crytals rarely exceed 10 mm on edge. They come in a variety of colours ranging from yellow to deep mauve-purple and colourless and are frequently quite gemmy.
