A Au-Cu occurrence/prospect located in sec. 14, T11S, R8E.
Mineralization is an ore zone that strikes N75E and has a steep dip, hosted in Cretaceous red beds (clastic sedimentary rock). Veining is light and closely associated with E-W fault-fractures. Copper oxides-silicates are light with light chalcopyrite-pyrite boxwork in quartz veins. Alteration includes light to trace propylitic pyrite adjacent to quartz veins.
Workings include 3-4 shafts + 4-6 prospects; probably = 500-1000 feet of workings maximum. Depth of workings is 304.8 meters. Reported to have produced gold - Jim Galey, ASARCO Resident Geologist - personal comm. 3/24/75.
