Kamienna Gora, Lower Silesia (Dolnośląskie), Poland

(Kamienna Góra)

Post-magmatic mineralisation is common in the early Permian basaltic trachyandesites cropping out near Kamienna Góra. The mineralisation is developed as: 1) alteration of lavas, including their phenocrysts and groundmass, 2) filling of vesicles/amygdales, and 3) veins and nests. The vesicles and amygdales are up to 10 cm in diameter and occur within amygdaloidal lavas and their breccias. Mineral veins, up to 3 cm thick, occur in massive and amygdaloidal lavas and theri breccias. Mineral nests are found in lava – sediment breccias.
