A lava flow on the western part of Nea Kammeni island, formed during the eruptions of 1866-1870. It originated from the Georgios Crater, named after the King of Greece at the time, Georgios I. The Aphroessa lava flow has been almost completely covered by the Ktenas lava flow of 1939-1941, and thus not visible today.
