Markov deep, Sierra Leone fracture zone, Mid-Atlantic Ridge complex, Atlantic Ocean

A graben-like basin, located close to the Sierra Leone fracture zone. The Markov Deep is up to 5 km deep, 8-11 km wide, and extends for 20-22 km along the axis of an axial rift valley which consists of an en echelon system of basins with variable strike.
