A medium-scale, quite active Cu mine: interestingly, a very rare find of millimetric cornetite has been found during the 1970s. One great specimen is preserved in the Copiapó Mineralogical Museum, of the Copiapó Geological School of Mine University.
Mineralization hosted in andesite rocks.
