Basalt quarries used for road building and other building purposes. Some of the amygaloidal cavities are large enough to crawl into. They are most famous for the very fine specimens of dark green (colored by vanadium) apophyllite that they produced, some with very fine quality mesolite specimens.

References

I have been there many times and there is more than one quarry in the little valley near Pashan village. The quarries are now all closed because of multi storied apartment houses built in the valley floor. Some of them are within a stones throw of the housing. Rock Currier 2010
