Location: This prospect(?) is at an elevation of about 1,800 feet, about 5.5 miles east-southeast of the middle of the head of Fish Bay. The prospect is 0.4 mile south of the center of sec. 20, T. 52 S., R. 63 E. It is MAS no. 0021140150 (U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 2002). The location is accurate within 0.5 mile.
Geology: Loney and others (1975) map the rocks in the area as Triassic(?) phyllite, greenschist, and greenstone, and Mesozoic or Paleozoic, metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks. The rocks are cut by steeply-dipping, mainly northwest-striking faults. The only published information about the prospect is that it has been staked for an unspecified commodity (U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 2002).
