An 1800's era mine located in the eastern side of East Whiteland Township, 0.8 km (0.5 miles) west of the dam at Hibbert's grist mill, and 2 km (1.25 miles) west of Warren Tavern Post Office. According to Persifor Frazer, in 1880, it was reported to be one of the largest iron ore banks in East Whiteland Township, but at the time of the report, only kaolin bearing clay and a few ore fragments where observed. Close by, in the direction (which?) of North Valley Hill, there was reported to be a great extent of ore located. (from: Leslie, 1883).
