A copper mine, started in 1845 and closed in 1865. It worked a single lode consisting mainly of chalcocite and chalcopyrite, with minor pyrite and fluorite. The workings are said to have been 115 fathoms deep. All that remains today is a capped shaft in a field just north of Gimblemill.
