Ansil Cu-Au deposit, Rouyn-Noranda TE, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Québec, Canada

Volcanic-hosted massive sulphide (VMS) deposit with a pre-production reserve of 1.58 million tons of ore grading at 7.2% Cu, 0.9% Zn, 1.6 g/t Au and 26.5 g/t Ag. The orebody consisted of a single lens of massive sulphides, 350 m long, 150 m wide and 6 m thick on average. The deposit is unusual in that about one fifth of its volume consists of massive magnetite.
Located 14 km north of Rouyn-Noranda.
