Zoned Amethyst Locality, Between Akka and Goulmima, Morocco
Note: This is a placeholder locality for specimens that have come onto the market in 2009. The full locality has yet to be disclosed, the only information given is that it is from "calcaire terrain" somewhere between Akka and Goulmima (which is around 80 km) [Jordi Fabre, pers. com. June 2009]
Quartz (var Amethyst) crystals with hourglass zoning are reported to be from here.
