Formed in 1870 to acquire Old and New Wh Franco, and to work three lodes of black and grey copper ore on virgin ground between the mines intersected when constructing the Plymouth to Tavistock railway.
In 1871, 70 tons of ore were sold for £102, but the mine was abandoned shortly after. (Hamilton Jenkin 1974).
The NGR given is for the New Wh Franco part of the set.
