The Feldspar Corp. Quarry, White Rock District (White Rocks District), Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, USA

A pegmatite quarry operated by The Feldspar Corp. and active from circa 1960 to the late 1980s. It is located immediately north of Bow Lane on the Kleen Energy power plant property and is currently mostly flooded. The pegmatite is internally zoned, with discontiguous quartz-rich cores but lacks abundant cleavelandite and has simpler chemistry than the White Rocks Quarry further NW on the same general dike complex. It produced mainly only beryl, schorl, fluorapatite, and garnet as major accessory minerals.
