In addition to the extensively exposed Holocene strata, the other rocks in the area include the Xilin hot complex, quartz diorite, cryptoexplosive breccia and buried quartz porphyry. The Xilin hot complex is a combination of brown amphiboleβplagioclase and biotiteβplagioclase gneiss, both intensely metamorphosed and deformed.
