A mine located in "the southern part of Ward 2" in Woburn supposedly produced some silver in the mid-1700s. (Johnson, 1889)

A mine, which was probably the same one, was located on the farm of Samuel Kendall (1682-?) according to his son, Jesse Kendall (1727-1797), as related in a document written by Silas Hamilton (1736-1816) of Whitingham, Vermont, in the late 1700s (Jillson, 1894).

Location of this former mine is not now known.
