Mogalakwena mine, Mokopane (Potgietersrus), Eastern Bushveld Complex, Limpopo Province, South Africa
Pt mine, owned by Anglo Platinum.The Mogalakwena mine (formally PPL mine) is located 20 km northwest of the town of Mokopane.
Geologically, the deposit belongs to the Bushveld Complex.
The current mine opened in 1991. However, mining by the company Potgietersrust Platinum Limited first commenced in 1926 on the property Vaalkop and ceased four years later in 1930.
