Chipman Mine (Merrimac Mine; Newburyport lead-silver mine), Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, USA
A former lead-silver mine located in the town of Newbury. The mineralized vein was discovered in August, 1874 and was worked from 1874 through 1879. Reopened in 1919; the mine closed in 1925.
