One of the very numerous fluorophlogopite diggings in this region. Situated halfway between Antanimenakely and Andranondambo. The phlogopites of this region are particularly rich in fluorine. Fluorine plays a very important role in the metallogenesis of the various U/Th, sapphire/corundum, phlogopite, etc. deposits in the area. The very high fluorine content makes an industrial use of the phlogopite impossible.
