Crater Mountain deposit, Papua New Guinea

Porphyry gold deposit, hosted by the Crater Mountain Igneous Complex.
The host rocks of the deposit are quartz-feldspar porphyry, feldspar-hornblende porphyry, andesitic volcanics and pyroclastics, and basaltic-andesitic tuff.

Located at an elevation of about 3100 m in mountainous terrain in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.

[Located in either Chimbu Province (Simbu Province) or Western Highlands Province.]
