Mineral specimens found in one of the numerous localities in the area north of Amboasary, especially in the Communes of Tranomaro and Maromby, lacking specific locality data has often erronously or incompletely been labelled just "Tranomaro" or "Tranomaro area" since Tranomaro is a center in this area.
Please see the entry for either Tranomaro Commune or the Maromby commune for the different localities.
