Moina District (Middlesex District), Tasmania, Australia

Moina is a small settlement near the site of an old mining town of the same name serving the local Au-Sn-W-Bi mines in the 1890s-1920's. There are numerous small Sn-W-Bi-Au veins, greisens and skarns. the Shephard and Murphy mine was the largest in the district. The area has produced good topaz and many other minerals.
