This area includes the Italian south and southeast slopes of Punta Cornera/Gischihorn (3083 m), north and west of the Bivouac "Combi e Lanza" (2420 m), and the territory to the southeast of Passo di Cornera/Chriegalppass (between Punta Cornera/Gischihorn and Helsenhorn, to the NE of Punta di Boccareccio, and to the N of Pizzo di Boccareccio). The collecting zone borders on Switzerland and is located inside the "Parco Naturale dell'Alpe Veglia e dell'Alpe Devero".
