An open gunnis in a field southwest of Vounder farm, presumably on a NE-trending lode, is attributed to this mine by Hamilton Jenkin. Although largely filled in and overgrown, the trench is still easily identified at surface. Two specimens of cassiterite in the collections of the former Museum of Practical Geology (now: Geological Museum, British Museum of Natural History) are labelled as coming from "Vounder lode, West Par Consols, St Blazey, Cornwall" (Smyth, Reeks & Rudler, 1864), suggesting that Wheal Vounder was worked together with that mine.
