A small aggregates quarry in a quartz-rich, schistose member of the Taine Mountain Formation granofels on state Route 73 in Waterbury. Low temperature mineralization of stilbite, heulandite, and pyrite along faults and joint faces occurs. Mineralization is typically of poor quality. Finds of good specimens were from a 1-time occurrence in an unusually thick and well mineralized exposure of a fault surface. Though rare, good stilbite specimens from here exhibit a beautiful golden yellow-orange color.

Location is on private property. Probably being quarried out for future commercial/retail development along Route 73.
