"Geology: Lode, Good grade Barite, in places small amount of ironstaining and traces of green copper carbonate and pyrite. Country Rock, limestone. Lodes occur within the Adelaide System of Metasediments."

"History: The property was first worked for copper last century. In 1927 a small amount of prospecting for barite was carried out. A claim was taken out in 1938 and prospecting was recommenced and in 1940 the main lode was opened by trenches and shallow pits and an adit was put into the hill. Claims have been continually held on the mine since 1947 but the only production in this period has been recorded in 1957 and 1958 when furhter shallow workings were put in."
