Small quarry on southern flank of Bruxie Hill, still occasionally used by the farmer at Cotbank of Barras Farm as a supply of hardcore material. Last time visited the farmer had no objections to collecting from the quarry.
The best agates seemed to come from looser material on the eastern side, whilst the more crystalline geodes, including some amethyst, were in harder matrix to the west.
