Souselas was a parish in the municipality of Coimbra. It was abolished in 2013 as part of a national administrative reform and merged with the parish of Botão to form a new parish called União das Freguesias de Souselas e Botão, with Souselas as its headquarters. In the 1970s, it reached the peak of its industrial growth with the establishment of the colossal cement factory of Cimpor.
