This is the locality for Schraufite, a variety of amber, that occurs in Carpathian sandstone. The Carpathian Mountains are mostly in Romania, as well as the region of Bukovina. Both the mountain range and the Bukovina region extend into the Ukraine along the border. The Carpathian Mts do not extend into Russia.
