The Pell mine was incorporated into the Polberro group. It yielded superb specimens of fluorite.

Approaching from St Agnes, where the road reaches the mining area there is a turning into a dead end road on the right with several places to park. There are 2 footpaths leading into the mining area the first cuts through Pell Mine. Seen from the road there is then a shaft collar behind a broken down fence and then the 2nd footpath which cuts right through the access land and from which, towards the far side, Seal Hole Mine can be reached. However, to reach Pell Mine take the turn to the left which circles back on itself and then again take the turn to the left (you're now back on the 1st footpath). The tip of Pell Mine can be seen through the undergrowth in winter but even then access would require more effort than I had in me at the end of a long day. Feb 2023.
