Outcrops of brown lavas and pillow lavas to the north-west and north of Crosano.

Analcime and a mineral generically referred to as "chabazite-gmelinite" have been reported for the first time at Crosano by Masetti & Rocchetti (1997).
In recent times, heulandite-K, harmotome, analcime, "gmelinite", and other minerals have been described from lava bodies on the north-west outskirts of Crosano, evidenced in the 1990s during excavations at a home building site. SEM-EDS analyses of "gmelinite" have shown that these crystals are peculiarly Na-poor and Ba-rich (Ferretti et al., 2013).
