Iron meteorite, Octahedrite (IVA, Of)
Fell, 30 August 1919, 10 kg
A mass of 10 kg fell near Rembang. The meteorite is a IVA octahedrite with heat-affected rim zones. Little else has been published. Rembang is one of only 4 witnessed IVA falls.
The whereabouts of the main mass is unknown, but a little more than 300 g is in Australia and elsewhere.
