An historic gold mine.
GML 1342N. On level ground 2 kilometres south-west of the Kyarra gold mine. There was no outcrop of gold, the vein found by sinking near where floaters (surface nuggets) were found. The surface was covered with 6 to 12 feet of cement, a term used for hardened clay. There were at least four shafts. Hollzmann and party put through a crushing in 1912. P. O'Brien and party also November 1914.
The ground is described as talcose sericite schist, very decomposed, and similar to Kyarra. The veins are parallel to the shear planes. The veins are 2 feet wide, yellow-brown quartz, striking north-south, vertical dipping. The gold occurs as crystalline plates in quartz vughs.
