The Ricci-Lee Mine is 3 kilometres south south-west of Thaduna and was operational from 1942-1970, producing 63 tonnes of cuprous ore. A small plant was built one kilometre to the west north-west adjacent to a laterite breakaway.
It is on flat land, just west of the access road into the Thaduna Mine. It contains 3 closely spaced trenches, across a distance of 400 metres.
The country rock is metagreywacke and slate striking east north-east, and north-east. In this is 1-3 metres wide graphitic breccia cemented by limonite, quartz, malachite, azurite, cuprite, chalcocite, in veinlets, pods and disseminations. The source states overall mineralisation is discontinuous and weak, but does contain small medium grade shoots.
