Located approximately 10 kilometres south-west of the old Spargoville townsite, and the same distance north-west of the junction between the Coolgardie-Norseman Highway, and Goldfields Highway to Kambalda. It is reached via miles of bush tracks west of the highway. Hilditch is at the northern end of a number of nickel prospects called the Spargoville Group, between Spargoville and Widgiemooltha. It came to prominence between 2004 and 2006, when Ramelius Resources explored the area. Massive, disseminated and stringer nickel sulphides were uncovered below nickel gossan at the surface. Drill results showed 1.1% to 2.4% Ni and minor Cu. After a deluge of information across the period of 'encouraging results', all fell quiet subsequently.
The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
