Great Norseman Junction Gold Mine
Immediately south of the Valkyrie mine, south of Norseman. GML 242. The Klondyke, formerly the Great Norseman Junction accessed the Bonanza Reef, an east-west cross-reef, of 500 feet length, dipping 40 degrees south. Also on the lease was a quartz-porphyry dyke with much pyrite, and several smaller reefs.
There were four shafts to 60, 45, 40 and 30 feet deep. The lease was abandoned in October 1896. The south-east portion subsequently became the Klondyke Gold Mine GML 693, which was voided October 1898. The east side became the St. Agnes and Norseman Junction Gold Mine GML 268, forfeited August 1896, then renumbered GML 742, and voided August 1900.
