The Geneve Gold Mine is 300 metres south of the Neta mine. Some sources throw an I into the name. The site consists of several shafts along a north north-west to south south-east line, remnant battery sands, two long trenches, much mullock, and a tank.
Mining companies generally took over a block of leases at the northern end of the field. Geneve was included in this with companies in 1895, 1909, 1924 and 1935, and more information about these entities can be found under the Neta Gold Mine Mindat locality.
GML 500R. The State Engineer visited the mine in 1902. He states there were two working shafts at the time to the water level at 114 feet, on the two of the parallel reefs running through the property. The first reef had been worked to 200 feet length, the reef averaging 12 inches wide. The second reef had been driven for 80 feet on a 2 foot wide lode.
