Two crushings were found reported at least for the Mystery- 1899 116 tonnes for 92 ounces, and 1900 51 tonnes for 72 ounces 7 dwt. The site is at the far eastern edge of the goldfield, as a small compact set of workings, 800 metres south of the Evanston-Menzies Road. It is accessed by a faint track which heads across the flats in a fairly straight line south south-west. A 2018 self review proved the picture loaded under this location is not the Mystery Mine, but an un-named shallow oxide pit (typical of the gravel pit type mines in this area) bordering the south side of the Evanston-Menzies Road some 2 kilometres from the Mystery Mine.
