To reach travel two kilometres north north-west from a track that leaves the intersection of the Goldfields Highway and Broad Arrow-Ora Banda Road. When a cross road is reached turn left and travel another three kilometres north-west to the mine. The track continues to the Bulletin Mine.
Nothing much remains at the site apart from a small pad of overgrown battery sands remnants and a couple of shafts. A dam was constructed in 1900, and this is possibly just north of the mine across a small ephemeral creek but again over one hundred years of flash floods means there is little to see.
It was much talked about from 1895 as being a major mine, but the mainly sulphide lode put pay to that, the machinery of the day unable to cope. Regardless a 20 head battery was on the lease from 1899. T. Ellis is mine manager and possibly owner. The Duke mine nearby was supplying water to the battery. The last mention is the idea of the battery being used for public crushing in 1901, and that is all that was found. A writer states in 1914 the site is deserted.
