A mire within a forest complex near a zinc-lead smelter, enriched in Zn, Pb and Cd. Minerals found 16-18 cm below the ground, in organic-rich soils, within Pinus silvestris L. bark.

Bagno Bruch is included into Natura 2000 network of nature protection areas in the territory of the European Union.
