The first notice of activity found was E.P. Taylor who took out the lease in 1928. Regular crushings were extracted until 1932 when the mine was sold to Frank Cassin, with more regular crushings until 1936. Two lease numbers were found being 1936W and 1941W. Speedie and Gummutt GML 2245W send through a crushing in 1947.
The site at present contains a small abandoned open pit, which was developed in 1986, producing 286 000 tonnes of ore at 3.3 g/t for 30 344 ounces of gold. A company called Chaffers around 2015 estimated 21 000 ounces at 1.52 g/t remains.
