John Stevenson of the adjoining Mount Alexander mine secured this property in 1897 for 6000 pounds, from the original prospectors Scholes, Platt and party, who had owned it from 1896.

15 acres. There was much alluvial gold taken from the lease, estimated at 200 ounces. The source claims the lode is 300 feet wide, although we are assuming this is not correct. It was kaolin, intersected by a network of quartz leaders.

Five shafts were on the lease, ranging from 40 to 80 feet deep. Some patches it is said had spectacular grades.

The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
