Pinki Mine

GML 340. 12 acres. According to Gibb-Maitland the lease was called Pink Eye, however early newspaper reports name it Pinki.

The lease contained a well defined quartz reef enclosed in talcose and chloritic schist. The reef extended for 450 feet, one foot 6 inches wide, dipping steeply east. Two shafts had been sunk to 50 and 40 feet deep.

Palmer, M. Molloy and Vaughan are mentioned as owners of the lease in 1897. Molloy had taken a third share of the mine from P. Honnessy early 1897.
