Pegmatite hosted in highmetamorhic carbonates of the tectonic unit "Tranomaro group". It is located 3km SSW of the village Morafeno, south of Tranomaro, about 50 km north of Amboasary, and about 70 km NW of the town of Fort Dauphin (Tôlanaro).
