Sakalava, Kaominina Ianapera, Distrikan' i Benenitra, Faritra Atsimo Andrefana, Faritanin'i Toliary, Madagasikara
An emerald deposit, situated about 350 km east of the town Toliara (Tulear) in the southern part of Madagascar. The deposit was discovered in 1989.
The emerald occurs in reaction zones developed at a shear zone within lenses of serpentinites and amphibolites belonging to the Vohibory group.
